This Saturday, May 14th, in partnership with the United States Postal Service is the 30th annual National Association of Letter Carriers "Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive. Traditionally, those members of the public wishing to participate by donating non-perishable food items to your local food bank would leave all donations by the mailbox for pick up from your letter carrier. However, due to an unprecedented shortage of adequate staffing in Cincinnati, this year will be different. This year, if you reside in a Cincinnati 452 zip code, we ask that all donations be brought to your local post office. Locations for donations will be staged in Cincinnati Postal Service lobbies by this Saturday. For all surrounding areas outside of a Cincinnati zip code, this year will be just like years past. You may leave any food donations at your mailbox for pick up from your letter carrier. No matter where you live, with your support, we can make this year's Food Drive successful for needy families throughout our communities.

Branch 43 officially came to existence less than one year of the founding of the NALC on July 25, 1890. The original charter which is located in the Ed Wesseling memorial conference room of the union hall bears the signatures of Charles C. Couden as Branch 43’s first President and R. C. Burke as the branches first Secretary. This charter further bears the signatures of NALC 1st National President William H. Wood and NALC Secretary G. L. Goellner.
